Live Archive: You too are an "unfinished witness"

We understand the archive not as a closed repository for storing documents, but as a space for gathering, dialogue, and participation. Part of this project is dedicated to collecting and preserving lived testimonies—from family photographs and personal letters to ambient sounds and oral narratives; the very fragments that official histories have often overlooked or left unrecorded. Yet this archive can only become a living archive through the people who contribute to it. We invite anyone who carries a memory, trace, or lived experience of PuliSurkh to share it with us.

Each contribution illuminates a different corner of the collective memory of this place and helps shape a narrative that is still unfolding across scattered geographies and remembered lives.Your contribution may include:

  • Family photographs and personal keepsakes — photographs that capture everyday life, friendships, gatherings, and memories connected to PuliSurkh.
  • Sounds and voices — audio recordings, voice messages, ambient sounds, or any sonic traces that carry the atmosphere of the place.
  • Letters and personal narratives — written memories, stories, diaries, documents, or any fragment that recalls the sense of refuge, belonging, and community that PuliSurkh once offered.
  • Images of personal mementos and objects — photographs of items, keepsakes, books, notes, tickets, or other objects connected to your experience of PuliSurkh.

Invitation to participate

Do you also carry a part of the lived experience of PuliSurkh in your memory or in your suitcase? The “Living Archive” needs your presence and intervention. We invite you to share your objects, memories, and narratives with us, so that together we can complete a narrative that is still taking shape.
